Today the world is alarmed by the moral decay of the younger generation. Violence, drug addiction, killings, and sexual abuse is ever on the increase at a frightening rate among both the teenagers and the adolescent. The elders tend to blame the younger generation for this dreaded situation. They fail to realize that it was their failure to bring up the precious babies given to them, in the fear and knowledge of God that has in turn grown their children to a Godless generation. This is why King Solomon, the wisest man who, ever lived on this planet advises to “Train up a child in the way he should go; Even when he is old he will not depart from it" (Proverbs 22:6). Paul says the Almighty God has granted His scripture for ‘teaching, for showing mistakes, for correcting, and for training character (2 Timothy 3: 16). It is under such circumstances that the Almighty God commanded Bro. Dr. Mathews Vergis to start a ministry that would enable His Word to reach those hands which hold, read and study books of various subjects in schools, colleges and other temples of learning, so that ‘His Word will be a lamp unto their feet and a light unto their path’ (Psalms 119:105).
